Publicitymedia has been successfully live-trialled at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) by a major entertainment PR company on behalf of their global clients.
The LA based PR team were the boots on the ground at TIFF, representing a dozen titles from a handful of different producer and distributor clients and dealing with enquiries from hundreds of film journalists each day.
Key to their success is getting material – production notes, images, trailers and even screeners – to journalists quickly and easily. In the past this has been largely done via email, with FTP and DVDs being the only route when files become too heavy.
But the team felt they needed a faster and easier way to distribute rich media files and at the same time be able to increase their security and be able to track and trace which journalists had accessed which releases and downloaded files.
With the Publicitymedia platform, real time traceability, instant screening rooms, restricted (view only) releases and full title by title branding is all built in as standard.
Publicitymedia puts powerful (but very simple to use) tools in the hands of the PR team on the ground – professionals who are the best at what they do and don’t need to be technical wizards too.
The short time the team spent preparing for TIFF before they left paid dividends too. Publicitymedia releases containing documents, images and video were prepared in advance and delivered to journalists as they handed over their business cards on the ground in Toronto.
Publicitymedia is a platform product developed by Maglabs exclusively for pr, marketing and ops teams in the entertainment industry. It was launched in January 2013 and fast becoming the digital asset management and distribution system of choice by entertainment clients.
