Incoming Connection Requests from Journalists

Incoming Connection Requests from Journalists

Just as you can search for new Media Partners to connect with, they can search for entertainment companies to approach and request to connect with.

If you have received any requests to connect from journalists, within the Networks tab these can be viewed under the heading Incoming Connections. Please note, this is only visible when you have at least one incoming connection, otherwise the heading is not shown.

You will be shown a list of journalists with their name and company name underneath. You then have the option to click directly on the journalist name to view their details of the journalist approaching you and then either Ignore Incoming Request or Connect their connection request. You can also use the checkboxes to reject or connect incoming connection requests in bulk.

Incoming connections -View Journalist details

You can click on the name of the journalist that is requesting to connect which will bring up a popup window with information about them.

From here you have the option to add them to a network, ignore the incoming request or connect. You can also just close the window down by clicking the ‘X’ in the top right hand corner which will return you to the Network page and no action will be taken.

Ignore or Reject Incoming Request

You can ignore the request also by clicking the checkbox next to the name of the journalist and simply click ‘Reject’. This will then bring up a confirmation window to ensure you want to reject the incoming connection(s).

Accept Incoming Request

You can also connect to any of the incoming connections also by clicking the checkbox next to the name and clicking Connect. This will bring up a popup box which allows you to add them to a Media Partner Network which you have already created.

Whether you accept or reject the incoming requests, the Media Partner will be removed from the list of incoming connections.
